Topgolf, a global leader in golf entertainment, is set to open its first venue in Rhode Island on October 6th.
This marks Topgolf’s debut in New England, boasting the 81st outdoor venue in the U.S and 91st on a global scale.
The new venue will create roughly 500 jobs in the area, diversifying employment for locals.
The golfing sensation, Topgolf, continues to expand its boundaries, announcing the grand opening of their first ever venue in the Ocean State, Rhode Island, scheduled for Friday, October 6th. The new entertainment hub, boasting a blend of high-tech golfing, gastronomic treats, music, and an all-round enjoyable atmosphere, will be situated about five miles from Providence’s downtown, specifically at 120 Sockanosset Cross Road in Cranston city.
Underpinning Topgolf’s casual allure, the new structure isn’t just about golfing; it’s equally about ensuring golfers and non-golfers alike are catered for. This means everyone can partake in the golfing games while basking in the laid-back ambiance. Whether channelling your precision into hitting oversized targets on the field, or simply playing various virtual courses or Topgolf’s popular games like Angry Birds, everyone can fully engage. This inclusive approach welcomes even the most novice golfers, celebrating spirited attempts as much as perfect swings.
Occupying the majestic Topgolf Rhode Island structure will be three whopping floors hosting 102 outdoor, climate-controlled— and yes, heated— hitting bays. Each bay is decked out with comfortable lounge-style furniture or high-top tables where groups can engage in friendly banter or cheer on participants. The state-of-the-art Toptracer technology employed by the venue allows it to track each golf ball’s flight path, distance, and other interesting details to make the golfing experience more exhilarating.
However, golf is only half the story at Topgolf Rhode Island. With a full-service restaurant led by executive chefs, a 28-foot video wall, a rooftop terrace, over 200 HDTVs, and year-round family-friendly programming, the venue aims to deliver a well-rounded and multifaceted experience. Additionally, private event rooms are available for a myriad of purposes, including team outings, family gatherings, meetings, and general festivities.
Topgolf’s Rhode Island launch signifies a significant milestone as it marks the company’s debut in New England. The shared excitement is reflected in sentiments from Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee, who said, “This venue will bring a new era of entertainment and leisure activities to Rhode Island… promising not only a fun opportunity for families and friends but also jobs and economic growth for the community”. Members of Rhode Island’s corporate scene have also expressed similar enthusiasm for what they see as a game-changing addition to the state’s landscape.
