Cameron Young was born on May 7, 1997, in Scarborough, New York. His father, David Young, is the head professional at Sleepy Hollow Country Club, where Cameron developed his game. He attended Wake Forest University, playing collegiate golf from 2015 to 2019, earning All-ACC honors.

Professional Career
Young turned professional in 2019 and earned his PGA Tour card through the Korn Ferry Tour in 2021.

His breakthrough came during the 2021-22 season, where he finished runner-up five times, including at the 2022 Open Championship at St. Andrews. He was named PGA Tour Rookie of the Year for 2022.
