Born January 12, 1999, in Edmond, Oklahoma, Austin Eckroat developed his golf skills at Edmond North High School, where he was a standout player. He was a four-time Oklahoma state champion during his high school career.

Eckroat attended Oklahoma State University from 2017-2021, where he was a key member of the Cowboys’ golf team. He earned All-American honors and helped lead OSU to the 2018 NCAA Championship.
